The Barrettclark team attended the Grand Opening of Le Cordon Bleu’s flagship cookery school in Bloomsbury Square London on Tuesday 7th February 2012.
The great and the good of the culinary world attended and all sorts of chefs attended including Raymond Blanc, Gary Rhodes and Tom Aiken, as well as the French Ambassador (minus the ferrero rocher!).
Le Cordon Bleu London opened up its impressive, purpose built, 7 floor building in Bloomsbury Square for the event, the new home of all things culinary, with live demonstrations from the Le Cordon Bleu team and students in a variety of kitchens.
Guests were encouraged to take a culinary journey through the state of the art classrooms and demonstration kitchens sampling a wide variety of beautifully crafted canapés and some of the most exquisite desserts accompanied by excellent Champagne.
The president of Le Cordon Bleu, Monsieur Andre Cointreau spoke about Le Cordon Bleu through the years and its development into the Gastronomic institution with 44 schools across the planet and more than 26,000 students. He was joined by the French Ambassador to cut the ribbon and officially declare the school open.
