Lifetime Achievement Award to be announced for one of the industries most respected Chefs
On April 29th 2013, in London, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards will take place. Already revealed by Big Hospitality reporter; Emma Eversham, is the news that Alain Ducasse will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of 30 years of global success. He will join a list populated with stars including Joel Robuchon, Paul Bocuse and Thomas Keller who received the award in 2012.
Chef Ducasse has 25 restaurants spread across 8 countries and earned 3 Michelin Stars by the age of 33 for Le Louis XV in Monaco. In the UK he is most famously known for his restaurant in The Dorchester.
Restaurant Magazine editor William Drew stated: “The Lifetime Achievement Award is voted for by the industry experts from across the globe – chefs, restaurateurs, food writers and critics and well-travelled gourmets – and, as such, this is an acknowledgement from the restaurant world itself...”
