Having founded BarrettClark Executive Search in 2001, Simon is the firm’s Managing Partner. Regarded by industry leaders as one of the sector’s leading search consultants, he remains actively involved in all areas of the business.
Simon’s ability is underpinned by his unparalleled knowledge of the consumer service sectors, his diverse experience, balanced judgement and his ever-personable approach.
He has developed specialist expertise in the leisure, hospitality and healthcare sectors and led searches with functional expertise across the C-Suite, Board and Executive Management.
In addition to fine dining, skiing and racing yachts, Simon is a volunteer business mentor for The Prince’s Trust.
Dewi is the Senior Partner at BarrettClark Executive Search with significant expertise managing executive level mandates for a diverse range of public and private sector clients.
Dewi’s uncompromising attention to detail and devotion to exceeding client expectations has allowed him to develop genuine relationships with a plethora of clients over the past fifteen years.
He has led mandates including the CEO of a national hospitality business, MD of a private equity backed restaurant business, UK Sales Director for a high end international retail brand, Marketing Director for a luxury travel operator to name but a few. Dewi supports clients with C-Suite, Board and executive Management positions both in the UK and Internationally.
Outside of BarrettClark, Dewi enjoys spending time with his young family, clocking up miles on his road bike and is dusting off his squash racket in an attempt to defy the ageing process and return to former glory!
Heather is a Partner at BarrettClark and oversees the day to day operations of the business. Heather manages the delivery and project management of all our assignments, from client mandate to satisfactory conclusion.
Her role also extends across marketing and administration, collaborating efficiently with all members of the BarrettClark team. Prior to joining BarrettClark, Heather worked within the health and fitness industry for Holmes Place Health Clubs, eventually moving into roles within HR and Training.
Martin is a Partner at BarrettClark and a specialist across the full range of hospitality sectors. He has delivered successful searches at Board and Executive level for branded restaurant groups, pub chains, contract caterers and venues as well as other food & beverage led organisations.
The searches Martin has conducted have included most positions around the Board room table, together with more specialist roles in multi-site management, business development and human resources.
Before joining BarrettClark, Martin held a variety of operational roles in the hospitality and events sector at some of the UK's most prestigious venues. He has a keen interest in the executive search process and has supplemented his experience with formal training and CIPD accreditation.
Will is an Associate Partner at BarrettClark who has over ten years’ experience in some of the UK’s leading leisure and luxury travel operators.
This operational experience has enabled Will to provide invaluable insight and expertise within leisure, sport, hospitality and retail.
Will advises and supports Chairpersons and Boards during the selection process to appoint C-Suite and Executive Talent. The diverse range of searches Will has conducted vary from CEO’s of casual dining businesses to a Chief Sales Officer for an FMCG business. Other examples of successful appointments Will has made include a Chief Operations Officer, a Marketing Director and a Managing Director.
Steve joined the team at BarrettClark as an Associate Partner in 2011, with vast expertise in the culinary arts and food service sectors.
Steve has 22 years’ experience as a chef in London within four and five star hotels, restaurants and in hospitality contract catering. Having hung up his chef whites in 2000, Steve has since carved himself a successful career in executive search, using his extensive network and broad knowledge of the sector to delight clients as he used to in the kitchen.
Steve supports clients across the UK and internationally to carry out searches for talented and creative chefs at the highest levels including Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, Head Chefs, Food Development, Creative Director and many more roles.
Andy is BarrettClark's Business Development Director, he enjoys forging long lasting business partnerships both in the UK and internationally. This exciting position is instrumental in the development of new business relationships, the firm and the BarrettClark brand.
Andy is a commercial specialist who takes an entrepreneurial approach in understanding client requirements, providing added value at every stage and delivering professional solutions.
Prior to joining BarrettClark, Andy held senior positions in both commercial and operational disciplines of which his roles have included start-up businesses with venture capitalists, brand development within multi-site portfolios and assembling senior management teams both in the private and public sectors.
Harry is BarrettClark’s Head of Research and is responsible for ensuring that our client briefs are translated into an effective research strategy that identifies and engages with the very best talent.
Harry and the research team are involved in all aspects of an assignment and relish the opportunity to provide detailed reporting to clients at every stage of a search. The research team are sector specialists, they know their market and leverage their extensive networks effectively.
Harry’s expertise is focused on the hospitality, leisure, retail and healthcare sectors of the consumer sectors, where he has gained considerable experience in candidate resourcing, multi-site operations and relationship management.
Harry shares his time between our central London office and an office in Somerset. If you talk to him, you will definitely pick up on his keen interest in food & drink, sport and in particular cricket, which his son excels at.
Steph is an Associate within the research team at BarrettClark and is involved in all stages of an assignment from detailed briefing to the appointment of a suitable candidate.
In addition to Steph’s experience in searches across the broad consumer sectors, she has developed a key healthcare specialism, having delivered commercial talent and highly qualified surgeons to hospitals and groups across the UK.
Steph has worked within executive search in back office roles for a number of years prior to joining BarrettClark, gaining vital experience and a deep understanding of the search process.
Rob is an Associate at BarrettClark and joined the firm in 2013. His role is focused on searching for the best candidates for our clients to consider – mapping, researching, networking and headhunting potential talent for specific projects and assignments.
BarrettClark's clients want a high calibre and well researched short list, they also want market knowledge. It’s Rob's job to thoroughly understand the consumer market, network continuously and compile the information into a talent map. He uses his experience to research the market discreetly and professionally to ensure our clients have the very best choice of talent.
Chris qualified in 1974 with BDO Stoy Hayward and left the profession to work within the Telecoms and IT industries. During his career, spanning 40 years, Chris was appointed to the boards of several leading UK Plc’s as Finance Director and Managing Director. Chris is widely recognised as having extensive experience in developing and positioning companies for acquisition or public issue.
After deciding to return to professional practise in 1999, Chris founded Stewart Hindley LLP, Chartered Certified Accountants and Registered Auditors, specialising in advising corporate clients on restructuring, acquisitions and disposals as well as providing tax planning advice. Chris sits on the Board in a non-executive capacity and provides key commercial and financial support to the firm.
Bren is the company Accountant and joined BarrettClark in 2002. She is responsible for the management accounts, invoicing and cash movement as well as handling all our payments. As a result of this role, Bren is the main contact for all clients and suppliers relating to invoices.
Prior to working with BarrettClark Executive Search, Bren spent 15 years with an Exhibition company in the electrical industry as their company accountant and 10 years doing a similar role with a plastic moulding company. She also had a role for a few years managing accounts and as a PA to the directors of a Rubber Band company! Bren's original training was in the Civil Service in the Royal Navy Accounts division.
